How to make party bag favour boxes, pencil toppers, fabric hairclips & notebooks using Stampin Up supplies

Hello, how are you doing today? Am glad you've made it back here to continue yesterdays Dress Up birthday projects - part deux!

I promised I would share the party gifts or 'favours' (or should that be without the u?) as they are becoming increasingly known and here they are - there are lots of photos but being a Sunday I guess that's allowed!

First up was the favour box which is made from the mini milk carton bigz l die (well two of them glued together actually ;)) It is pirouette pink and has been trimmed with punched crumb cake scallops, a little sentiment tag from the Little Friends set and the wand from the dress up stamp set  - oops that photo looks very wonky! ...

The box was filled with sweeties then pull fastened together with linen thread with the beau chateau brooch/hair clip sat on top to finish.

This was made by running the Beau Chateau fabric through the Big Shot with the fun Flowers Bigz L die. I needed 8 flower cuts in total for each brooch/hair clip so  few pieces of fabric went through at a time. I cut a small circle of fabric interfacing then simply folded the fun flowers cuts in half and used 2 per layer building the flower up.

For the top layer I used the linen thread to sew on a button and secure the whole flower together. However I wasn't sure in the end which button I preferred - the subtles pink button is above and the retired brushed bronze designer button is below - which do you like best?

I did two versions each of each flower for each guest - one with a safety pin from the vintage trinkets range and one with a hair clip (not SU!) so the girls had a choice which to wear (or mums could wear one too!)

I then rolled a plain pencil in Beau Chateau fabric and secured a scallop flower onto the end to pretty it up (looks like that crumb cake ribbon needs re-securing in this flower centre!)

And then to complete the package a little handmade notebook using the two tags die stamped with the Dress Up stamps with a shadow effect and another Fun Flowers Bigz fabric flowers.

And here they all are together..

I hope the girls like them!

Oh, just in case you wondered what the Fun flowers might look like when worn, here's an idea..

Not sure I want to give this one away now ;)

Back tomorrow with another card  themed to match the weather we have been dealt this weekend - see if you can guess which stamp set it is!

See you soon
