Stampin Up Feeling Sentimental masculine card

Hello readers, here's something you may not know .. Penny-farthing bikes were named after the old British penny and farthing coins and were popular in the 1870's - 1890's eventually being replaced by safer bikes less inclined to tip the rider over the handlebars!!

They often represent the innovation of the Victorian age, and the Feeling Sentimental stamp set doths its cap wonderfully towards tradition and bygone days. As I am still in a green phase, I thought it would be fun to enter the Colour Q #180 challenge along with the Mojo Monday 284 sketch challenge & Addicted to Stamps & More sketch challenge & Creative Card Crew - Masculine - and the penny farthing stamp fitted the circles required on the sketch challenge perfectly.

The set is part of the Sale-a-bration range of free products you can choose from for every £45 order - and if you think it might just be impossible to live without it then please hurry as sale-a-bration ends on Friday 22nd March and this set will no longer be available.

To make this card I layered Whisper White & Gumball green cardstock then scallop punched the edge of a thick Whisper White banner piece. The card was tied with basic black ribbon and the scrap banners were made from Summer Smooches designer series paper and some retired Howlstooth & Scaringbone (Halloween themed) paper from 2012. The sentiment is from the Thank You Kindly set which retired last Summer but one which I still find incredibly useful.

Short & sweet from me today, will be back after the weekend with some more challenge crafting, laters ...
