Easel cards are really quick & simple to make; they fold flat for posting and then pop up for display. You could substitute the ribbon for a brad or other embellishment so long as the front of the card has something to rest upon to stop it falling flat. Here's a quick video tutorial for you - thanks Dawn!
've used So Saffron cardstock as my base layer and then layered some old Howlstooth & Scaringbone paper from last Autumn over the top. Whisper White completes the layers with punched Mixed Bunch flowers stamped in So Saffron and highlighted with silver glimmer glue. The two tone ribbon is from the Spring/Summer catalogue and makes the perfect stopper.
The crepe filter paper flower is made with Stampin Up filter paper in the Spring/Summer catalogue and is punched using the scallop punch - I have about 6 layers for this flower. they are held together with a brad and then I've sprayed them with So Saffron refill ink mixed with rubbing alcohol in a stampin spritzer bottle.
I sprayed more onto the middle of the flower the edges to give them a more faded look. The sentiment is from the Little Friends stamp set and cut with an elongated word window punch. the banners are cut from the same designer paper as the base paper.
Floral challenges abound online so I'm entering this card into Kenny K's Krafty Krew - flowers, Robyns Fetish #158 - spring colours, Hybrid Chick Card Caravan - use flowers, Card Mania #20 - flowers, Craft your passion #161 - floral delights, Incy Wincy - yellow & grey, Lady Annes - easel card, I (heart) card sketches #17.
Come back tomorrow for a vintage treat :)
