DIY vintage paper birdcage table decoration tutorial using Stampin' Up! craft products

Vintage decorative birdcages have always been a passion of mine  - they take me back to my childhood when my grampy was an avid canary keeper - although the cages weren't anywhere near as pretty as this one ;)

They make the perfect celebration table decorations and they've become really popular as wedding decorations in the last year or so. They're so simple, inexpensive and quick to make then decorating for 100 will no longer be a chore!

This birdcage is relatively simple to put together - simply choose your card colour and embellishments and you're off!

However if you'd like a little assistance simply cut 8 strips of card and a large circle - adhere the strips to the circle at the bottom of each strip then lightly bend the strips in to a centre point and fasten together by creating a handle using a further strip! Decorate and embellish as desired.

I've used Stampin Up's naturals white cardstock, bird builder punch, boho blossoms punch, silver glimmer paper, ribbon trim punch for the birdcage, Language of Friendship stamps.
