The Brother ScanNCut has 600 built-in designs, including 500 resizeable shapes and 100 quilt and appliqué patterns along with five different typeface fonts. Scan, Cut, Design:
In the pattern mode you can quickly create precision paper and fabric cut-outs. Simply select a pattern and edit it to create your own design and then load craft paper or fabric to be cut.
The cutting area width is 11.7inches (297mm), enough room for a cutting mat of up to 12 x 24inches (305mm x 610mm).
In the scan mode the scanner will scan an illustration, photo or your own drawing to create personalised cut designs at 300 dpi. The scanning width is up to 11.7inches (297mm) and design can be cut straight away saved for later use.
Precise fabric shapes can be easily cut and if you pair the erasable draw function with the cutting, you can draw seam allowances for precise sewing guidelines.
The ScanNcut comes with a range of accessories including cutting mat, fabric support sheets, blade holders.
The ScanNcut kit also contains detailed useage instructions on a CD ROM plus a pattern list, a basic quiltmaking guide and an accessories list.
