Here at Vintage Celebrations Towers February is the month of love so we continue our series of crafting to a love theme - after all you can never have too much of it can you ;)
Today's project uses the fabulous new Stampin Up luxurious embossed vellum paper - 12" x 12" sheets of gorgeous vellum embossed in solid gold or silver with stripes, hearts & spots perfect for crafty love creations!
To make a hanging heart garland like this, simply cut 2 sets of 4 strips of 1" wide vellum in 4 varying lengths - around 1/2" difference between each length. Also cut one lengther 1/2" shorter than the shortest length. Using this length as the centre piece, curve the next shortest lengths around it and secure with glue. Continue curving the strips until all 4 are used then repeat in the same manner on the other side. I've secured mine with a mini staple which are really fashionable at the moment to make them really secure.
Make several more hearts as long as you wish for your garland to be and then secure to a piece of twine to enable the garland to hang.
These garlands would be perfect as wedding decorations as well as a token of showing you care :) If you'd like to get your hands on some of this amazing embossed vellum simply pop over to my Stampin Up online store below ..
