As the glass and decorative border of this photo frame have long disappeared, I used the back piece complete with stand as the base of my mixed media piece - nothing goes to waste here at Vintage Celebrations!
I covered the frame with a piece of Stampin Up Naturals Ivory A4 card which has a light speckled effect and a softer white than you would get with normal white cardstock. This helps to give projects a more aged/worn look which is perfect for vintage projects. the card was then stamped in crumb cake ink with stamps from the Everything Eleanor stamp set which is a gorgeous mix of vintage style floral and tag stamps. In the centre of the tea doily I've placed a vintage faceted button for a little glimmer & glamour :)
I then overlaid the Naturals Ivory with an oblong of Naturals White cardstock and stamped in smokey slate ink with the Gorgeous Grunge and En Francais stamps - again perfect vintage style stamps.
This sort of project is perfect when you'd like to let your creativity run wild - random stamping is very much encouraged!
