How to make a bow using oval punches

Well here we again, it's Friday!!! Last weekend darling daughter #3 went to a little friends party and I had totally, totally forgotten about a card!! How aful is that especially as I create day in, day out!!

Well I had this little box to hand sitting on the shelf looking lonely as it was made in retiring papers and an idea grabbed me ... a card in a box with a bow!

Here's the 3 piece together, the box was made out of Patio Party designer series paper (now retired) following a tutorial on Pinterest, there are hundreds of them around if you Google them.

The bow made made from a long strip of paper with tails cut both ends, then 2 ovals punched with an oval punch (119855 £14.25), folded in half and stuck down onto the centre of the strip of paper with a button in the middle to pull the ensemble together.

The little card was cut in Whisper White and then stamped with an image from Bring on the Cake (w 128490 £34.95, c 129958 £27.95) - each part of the stamp was coloured differently with Stampin Write markers in Primrose Petals, So Saffron & Melon Mambo. I love all those little candles!  A strip of Gingham Garden Washi tape (129314 £4.50 3 rolls) and some room for daughter #3 to write her name and the little card was finished!

And here's the matching tag using my Washi tape as ribbon technique and held together with a subtles brad. The cardstock is Primrose Petals overlaid with whisper white and stamped again with Bring on the Cake stamp set. In case you're getting a bit fed up with this sentiments set I do have some of the new sets on order  - watch this space for newbies coming your way soon!

Popping back tomorrow with a royal theme - especially as speculation is rife that the new Royal baby may be born this week!
