Using embossing folders for card edges

And so the sun continues and I for one am so grateful for the lighter mornings and nights, makes life seem a little more pleasant when the sun shines, don't you think?

We are off to a local garden centre today to begin re-structuring our garden - we have lived in our house for 4 years now and initially wanted low ie no maintenance in the garden as the girls were so young but nowadays I long for a little colour and scent out there! With this in mind, todays creation is a mix of thanks and flowers!

My big shot has certainly got some use making this project!

Firstly I embossed the edge of y wisteria wonder cardstock with the Delicate details embossing folder (127023 £8.50 for 2 folders) then I ran Elegant Eggplant & Perfect plum cardstock back through the Big Shot with the Floral Framelits (127012 £22.95 for 5 layering dies) to cut the two purple flowers.

I used very vanilla card and the apothecary accents framelits (127003 £20.95 for 4 assorted label shapes) to make the label. This was stamped with sentiments from the now retiring Kindness Matters stamp set (122900 £10.95, c 122902 £8.95) and then sponge daubed around the edges in Elegant Eggplant ink (126969 £4.95).

The little butterflies are also from the Kindness Matters stamp set which stamp as 3 in a line and I cut them out individually. They are coloured with Stampin Write Mrkers in Elegant Eggplant, Perfect Plum & Rich Razzleberry and I've used the Dazzling Details silver glitter glue to give them some sparkle!

The ribbon & bow are in Perfect Plum 1cm taffeta (122987 £6.25 for 9.1m) which is two tone - it has a lighter tone on the inside and darker on the outside. The cream ceramic flower is from the Artisan Embellishments Kit which was in the Spring/Summer catalogue and is now on the retiring list to the left.
