Making banner on cards using Stampin Up petite pennant punch

Hello again and welcome to another Vintage Celebrations creations week

My new Stampin Up! catalogue 2013-2014 sneak peek goodies are due to be delivered today - will post a photo as soon as they come!

In the meantime, I've been using up my designer series paper scraps from the 2012-2013 catalogue before they retire in a few weeks time :)

Here's a card that would be perfect for any age and gender; these little banners are really fashionable at the moment and I was inspired by the photo on page 31 of the current annual catalogue - take a peek to see!

I've used a mixture of designer series papers for the banner flags including tea for two, birds of a feather, print poetry & patio party and punched them all with the petite pennants builder punch (122361 £15.50). This was the first punch I ever bought a while back from Stampin Up!  They are strung together with some stashed bakers twine from the Boutique Boxes kit.

The scoring over the banners has been done using the Simply Scored scoring tool (122334 £25.95) and the new borders scoring plate overlay (126192 £13.50) which features approx 19 different border designs to be used with the scoring tool.

The sentiment is a lovely one from Bring on the Cake set (121899 £34.95, c 121958 £27.95) and I've coloured it with stampin write markers in crumb cake, melon mambo and so saffron to reflect the colours in the banner flags.

The little flagpoles were made from cocktail sticks with the points cut off.

Will have a masculine project for you tomorrow - just in time for my monthly crafts clubs on 11th, 12th, 17th, 18th & 25th June in villages around the Banbury, Oxfordshire area. If you live nearby, pop along to see us in action!

Bye for now,
