Party treat bags using Stampin Up cycle celebrations & treat cups

So, daughter #2's 6th birthday approches shortly and we've been busy creating and up-cycling her party guests treat bags.

As a mum of 4 girls I would love to totally create EVERYTHNG we do by hand but with holidays, playdates, homelife and wifely duties ;) life in general is busy, busy, busy so sometimes a helping hand is required :) Plus as the big thing at the moment at our abode is  Cicely Mary Barker's Flower Fairies then these ready made party handbags were just perfect.

But can anycrafter can resist adding just a little something extra? So to work we went ...

Using pink pirouette card we cut the banners and tails for the party guest names and stamped them with Notable Alphabet stamps.

Then came the fun part - using the treat circle cups (what a great idea for attaching little "things" to projects) the girls got to fill them with Smarties (strangely I underestimated how many smarties we would need as we had none at all left over?)

After filling up the treat cups, I stuck them down using the self adhesive backs onto some melon mambo scallop circle punched shapes and then adhered them to the names banners and then to the bags. To finish off we stamped the sentiment from the Cycle Celebrations stamp set and cut into a banner to go cross the treat circle.

As the challenge over at Allsorts #218 this weeks it photo inspiration of sweets and at Polka Doodle it's birthday girl then will pop this in as my entry s well as to Daring Cardmakers for their sweet things challenge!

Cute eh? To discover what and made treats are in the bag pop back tomorrow! Until then,
