Stampin Up UK Cute childrens colouring book gift card

I like to make my own party bag favours when the girls have a birthday party. Firstly, it's more unique and secondly, generally less expensive! So these cute little colouring gift cards were just perfect gifts for our 5 year olds birthday celebrations last week :)

Starting out with a tri-fold card I simply added pockets onto each piece to hold a variety of colouring paraphenalia - colouring pencils, cards to colour, stickers and other embellishments.

The little animal stamped images are from the lovely Storybook friends stamp set - lots of vintage style animals and children to stamp.

The papers are the gorgeous Birthday Basics - a colourful bright range of cheerful birthday/celebration style patterns which suited this project perfectly. The lovely ice-cream coloured twine and printed cork embellishments are from one of the new Sale-a-bration goodie pack free with orders over £45 :)

The little tags are made using a brand new punch appearing in the new Spring/Summer catalogue next week combined with Sweet Sorbet sale-a-bration papers and stamped characters from the Fox and Friends stamp set.

I used a piece of ribbon wrapped around the card to fold it together and secure and then stamped each recipients name out using my Typeset Alphabet dies and adhered to the front - and promptly forgot to take a photo of this step ;)

Just a reminder, my weekly roundup of life in photos and 52 lists (this week it's Things that remind me of home) will be here tomorrow (Friday) to make way for an exciting blog hop sale-a-bration showcase starting at 8am GMT Saturday 25th January. Be sure to pop back then!
