Owl aperture card using Stampin Up owl punch & woodgrain embossing folder

Hi crafters, I've been having lots of fun this week with the owl punch which I find perfect for creating childrens birthday cards (in particular boys cards as I have to think out of the pink box for a change!)

This card also is my entry to two of this weeks online challenges

I have used a host of punches and embossing folders for this card with just a tiny bit of stamping :) The crumb cake card was run through the woodgrain embossing folder in the big shot and then three circles using the circle punch were punched out to make the peekaboo windows for the owls.

The owl punch then came into play to make the little cuties along with the leaf and branch from the bird punch. The sentiment was stamped with A little greeting from the spring/summer catalogue and layered onto the modern label punched shapes.

I even though the little arrows on the sentiment were a little like feathers and as owls are birds credited with wisdom I though the "thinking" part suited them perfectly :) They could even be the Stampin Up! modern day equivalent of the three brass monkeys ;) Not just random coincidence eh!
