Hand bag shaped party invitation & Two tags die party favours using Stampin Up supplies

Good morning blog friends and today I thought I'd give you a sneak peak of some invitations I'm working on for one of my little girls forthcoming birthdays - it's not for a while yet but the sun was shining and I felt inspired to get ahead!

As she is growing into quite a little lady now I thought it appropriate to create invitations that were a little more 'grown up', hence this little bag style invite was born!

The top flap opens the bag up and reveals the party information inside and will make a nice little keepsake for the guests afterwards. The shimmery white card which haas a very subtle glitter too it has been left blank on the front so my daughter can write the recipients name and ruin, sorry I mean decorate, it no doubt in her own style with glitter stickers etc ;)

I just love this colour combination of melon mambo & baja breeze, it's so fresh and bright and think the colours together make a really striking statement.

The pink spot ribbon is Scallop Dots in Melon Mambo and the brad is from the Antique Brads set which give projects an elegant & expensive look. The pretty scallop trim is created by running the Adorning Accents Edgelits through the Big Shot (I now notice the one on the left needs a bit of a trim!)

To add to the festivities I have aslso started in the favours and have made these cute little lip balm holders out of the larger tag on the Two tags die using pink pirouette and rose red card along with wild wasabi and baja breeze again for the scallop circles. The teeny tiny gift stamps are are retired set but a good option for these from the current catalogue would be the Every Little Bit stamp set which has a variety of little stamps perfect for this type of project. The patterned papers are also from a now retired set but a nice set to coordinate with the pinks, greens and blues would be Twitterpated or Fan Fair. The little favours are tied with pink pirouette taffeta ribbon.
