How to make this Spring shadow box inchie sampler using square punches & patterned paper step by step Stampin Up tutorial

A shadow box sampler is a lovely decorative piece of home decor that is really easy to create and makes a perfect gift or showpiece for your own home. What's more it's a really unique decorative piece that showcases your own artistic talents and style :) Come and see how easy they are to make!

To make your own sampler simply select a piece of coloured cardstock of your choice to fit your size of shadow box - with over 40 colours to choose from Stampin Up has most colours covered ;).

Using a postage stamp punch punch out 9 squares from your selected patterned paper and cardstock mixing them up - I've used watercolour wonder designer series paper for my scallop squares and spring cardstock in so saffron, soft sky, pear pizzaz & pink pirouette.

Using my square Stampin Up punch, simply punch another 9 squares from the same paper choices and card. Then lay the squares out with 2 layers on each, the square punched  piece overlaying the scallop square punched piece. Fiddle around with them until they please your eye!

To embellish, I used the backyard basics stamp set (which has a lovely variety of spring images including eggs, birds, butterflies, bees, tulips that has matching dies too!! ), punched pieces using bitty butterfly, elegant butterfly, boho blossoms punches and then scrap pieces of ribbon, twine & retired soda pop tops. I also cut out some watercolour wonder paper flowers to bring the design together :)

I plan to update my shadow box sampler with every season, having already created an Autumn sampler last year - roll on the summer sampler ;) Oh and my shadow box is from Ikea :)
